डा सन्देश दाहाल  कोरोना लकडाउनके विश्व नै डामाडोल भएको बेला सबैको मनमा आउने एउटै सवाल छ, यो कोरोना कहर कहिले सकिएर संसार फेरी पुरानै लयमा फर्किन्छ? यो प्रश्न आजको दिनसम्म संसारका बैज्ञानिकले दिन नसकेको सबभन्दा कठिन प्रस्न भएको छ ।  कोरोनाको बारेमा यसको मोटामोटी कुरा थाहा नपाउने सायद कोही होला आजको दिनमा। आवस्यक कुरा मात्र उल्लेख गर्छु आज। कोरोना भाइरसले आजसम्म तीन पटक महामारीको रुप धारण गरेको छ। सन् २००३ मा SARS (severe acute respiratory distress syndrome) जुन चीनबाट सुरु भएर संसारको २६ देशमा फैलिएको थियो, जसले करीब ८ हजार मानिसलाइ संक्रमित गरेको थियो, र करिब ८ सयले ज्यान गुमाएका थिए। कोरोनाको अर्को महामारी २०१२ मा साउदी अरबियाबाट सुरु भएको थियो, जसलाए MERS (Middle east Respiratory syndrome) को नामले चिनिन्छ। ८०% संक्रमण साउदी अरबियामै भएको यो महामारीले करिब २५ सयलाइ संक्रमण गरेको थियो, र कारिब ८०० हाराहारीले ज्यान गुमाएका थिए।  २०१९ को यो महामारी गराउने यो भाइरसलाइ SARS- CoV 2 र COVID-19 नाम दिइएको छ। यसले अहिलेसम्म (यो लेख लेख्दासम्म) संसार...

Nepal is developing nation, and hence the issues related to healthcare are multiple and varied. Clinicians or non clinicians, without addressing all the relevant dimensions, are not going to help for holistic management of any issues related to health. This holds more true when there is huge shortage in the delivery of  healthcare to the general population from the state and there is huge discrepency between services provided by different government and private sector health care providers, which entirely differ in quality, cost and accessibility of health care they provide. We here in describe cases of surgical site infection caused by Non-tuberculous Mycobacteria, seen in two centers in Jhapa. The aim of the study was to increase awareness of this atypical mycobacterial infection, prompt diagnosis, and treatment that may ultimately provide better care to patients.
